The Art Club will meet Thursdays, from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Students will learn about a myriad of art media, art techniques, art history and how art presents in different cultures and our daily lives. In addition, from the environment to toys, to logos, to clothing, to books, to cars, to furniture, to houses, and from buildings to technology.
The Drama Club is an interactive, hands-on club for students who enjoy performing. Students meet every Tuesday and Thursday, from 3:00 PM to 4:45 PM, spending time learning and performing different acting techniques through individual and group activities, games, and improvisation.
This group of 5th-grade students are selected to serve on the team. Safety Patrols have a great number of responsibilities to include, but not limited to, raising the flag, assisting in the cafeteria and gym, and keeping an eye on the students to make sure that rules are followed. In the afternoon, our patrols assist with dismissal by making sure our students remain safe. We meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month during the Fine Arts block.
The Galaxy Roots Club celebrates and learns about the various cultures among our students and within our community through activities that bring us together as a unit. Our exploration takes place through dance, videos, food, and anything else that provides opportunities to share something about ourselves. We meet each Thursday from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
This group of 5th-grade students meets every day to broadcast the morning announcements to the entire school. Our primary responsibility is to ensure students are aware of what is happening around the campus, in our nation and across the world that is applicable to their lives. We meet Mondays to Fridays, from 7:30 AM - 8:15 AM.
The Garden club focuses on the environment and gardening. We place an importance on learning about many different species of coastal, floral, fruit and vegetable plants. We meet Tuesdays, from 2:15 PM – 3:15 PM.
Our Music Club / Drumline provides students the opportunity to listen and perform to music, focusing on cultural enrichment. Students will be able to showcase their talents by performing for their peers as well as at local venues. We meet Thursdays from 2:15 PM – 3:15 PM.
Our SECME and Robotics Club is a competitive club where students select from various events to participate, which may include Water Bottle Rockets, Mouse Trap Cars and Egg Drop. The students create and test their designs at school and then compete against other schools. We meet Tuesdays, from 2:15 PM – 3:15 PM.
Our Yearbook Club focuses on the construction of Galaxy E3’s yearbook. Students are responsible for taking pictures, drawing layouts, cropping photographs, and writing and typing up until publication.
